It shows you information about monitors installed in your system or network.

Monitor Info View is a small software utility that shows you essential information about possibly the most important element of your PC and one of the least looked after: the monitor. Without a monitor you can´t do anything, if the screen breaks, everything else is useless, even if it is in perfect condition.

Via this simple program you can know the week and year of fabrication, the name of the fabricator, the model, the viewing modes it supports, and much more. But obviously, you could ask: and where do you get this information?

The answer is in the EDID (´Extended Display Identification Data´) registries, stored in your PC. You can also view the information of all the monitors connected to a LAN, with permission of the administrator of course.

Monitor Info View requires no installation process nor additional DLL files. To start using it, you just have to copy the runnable file to any folder in your hard drive, and open it directly.

The main advantage of the program is that it is made up of two pànels: the upper panel shows you a list of monitors, and when you select a specific monitor the lower panel shows a list of viewing modes available in it. Normally only one monitor appears, but the program works the same if various are connected.

Monitor Info View is very small (just 39KB) and easily managed, more things in its favour.
